Terms of Use

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Stranger Square gives users a simple two-person room for meeting a stranger. By using it, you agree to use it respectfully and leave immediately when something feels unsafe.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Stranger Square. If you are under 18, do not enter the app.

Basic rules

  • Do not harass, threaten, shame, stalk, or intimidate another person.
  • Do not share hate, graphic abuse, sexual content involving minors, illegal content, or instructions for harm.
  • Do not scam, spam, solicit money, impersonate others, or pressure someone for personal information.
  • Do not post contact details, private addresses, payment details, or sensitive personal information.
  • Do not record, publish, or distribute another user's conversation without their permission.
  • Do not use bots, scripts, scraping, flooding, or attempts to bypass safety systems.

Safety controls

Stranger Square may filter messages, limit traffic, require bot checks, end rooms, prevent rematches, block users, or apply cooldowns when needed to protect the service and its users.

Reports may be reviewed using limited room context and technical identifiers as described in the Privacy Policy.

Your content

You are responsible for what you say and do in Stranger Square. You keep ownership of your own messages, but you allow Stranger Square to process, transmit, filter, and temporarily store them as needed to run the app and safety features.

No guarantees

Stranger Square is provided as a lightweight live experiment. Matches, uptime, message delivery, safety systems, and availability are not guaranteed. Use the app at your own discretion.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Stranger Square and its operator are not responsible for user conduct, conversations, losses, damages, or disputes that arise from use of the service.

Built on TownSquare

Stranger Square is built with the open-source TownSquare project, which is licensed under the MIT License. The Stranger Square experience, matching behavior, safety controls, and legal pages are separate app-level additions.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the product changes. The updated date at the top shows when this page was last revised.
